72- Hour Worship Warfare and Intercession

The Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP), through the able leadership and prophetic guidance of its Board headed by Bishop “Kuya” Dan Balais, IFP National Chairman and concurrently the Spiritual Director and Senior Pastor of CLSF, will launch the 72-Hour Worship Warfare and Intercession (72HWWI) on May 16-19, 2012. The nationwide prophetic intercessory and worship event will kick off on the 6:00pm of May 16 in all the thousands of participating churches and then culminate corporately on May 19 at the Cuneta Astrodome (6:00 am to 6:00pm) for Metro Manila and in large venues in many cities and towns of the country. The ministerial fellowships and the IFP local leadership in the cities and provinces are given the freedom to choose how they will mobilize and engage the churches in a sustained and nationwide worship, spiritual warfare and intercession for the Philippines.

The coming of the prophets to the Philippines for the in most recent years could not have been timed as perfect as it was! From the time of the proclamation of our Jubilee season last March 2010 until now when the nation is under threat from China in the Spratlys Island Territorial conflict and the plan to put up one of the biggest Casino complexes in the world, the Lord has been declaring His clear prophetic words to the church and the nation of the Philippines. Prophets Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj and Vincent Selvakumar from India; Neville Johnson from Australia; Robert Misst from New Zealand; Jill Shannon from Israel; Dr.Chuck Pierce, Pastor Joe Sweet and Cindy Jacobs from the USA are among the highly anointed world prophets that came to proclaim the word of the Lord.

In the just concluded 23rd National Prayer Gathering (NPG) attended by some 10,000 pastors and intercessors from all over the country, Prophet Robert Misst prophesied the danger lurking ahead of us from the threat of China, tagged as the bird of prey from the East (Isa 46:11), in our territorial conflict in the Spratlys Islands. Sure enough, China is beginning to show aggression flexing her naval and military might to challenge all the other claimants of this oil and gas rich islets, reefs and atolls spread over some 425,000 square kilometers of sea. The Philippines, being the claimant with the strongest legal ground to claim the islands is now being bullied by the giant dragon country of China. Having no naval, air force and army to match this world power, we could only turn to God for help and deliverance from this ominous and imminent threat. The Lord, through a prophetic experience given to Kuya Dan in Macau, directed the Body of Christ in the Philippines to hold this 72HWWI in such a crucial point in our history.

It is in this context that the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) is launching the 72-Hour Worship Warfare and Intercession (72HWWI) to call upon the name of the Lord to protect us from China, both the external threat (Spratlys) and the internal threat to corrupt our morals (Casino). The Philippines, through the years, had been a recipient of a glorious prophetic calling as a “Sheep Nation”, “A Missionary Sending Nation”, and most recently, a “Prince Nation to Asia in the Millennium”. The enemy, Satan, will not allow us to enter our destiny without a fight. Because of our mandate and calling to evangelize and disciple the nations of Asia, the old dragon (Rev 12:9) will not rest until he succeeds in subverting God’s glorious plan for our people and nation. What is working for us is our Jubilee season- the appointed time for the Lord to show mercy and comfort upon us (Psalm 102: 13; Isa 40:1-5). The prophets that recently came to our land declared that we have to contend for our destiny; contend for God’s promises!

The strategy for the 72HWWI is taken from II Chron 20 when Israel was threatened by a multitude of the army of three nations of Moab, Ammon and Mount Seir who conspired to an alliance to attack and destroy Israel. King Jehoshaphat cried out to God and the Lord answered his supplications through the words of the prophet Jahaziel to whom the word of the Lord came:

“And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s” (2Ch 20:15)!

Kuya Dan emphasized in the 23rd NPG that we may not have at this time a multitude of warships to defend the nation but we have a lot of worship, exalting the name of the Lord from the hearts and lips of God’s people!
“What is going for us”, Kuya Dan observed, “is the new found unity among our Bishops and national leaders in the Body of Christ”.
Kuya Dan shared in the last Inter City Prayer Gathering of IFP about the breakfast fellowship among the Bishops last April 15 at Legend Hotel. “This new and historic development gives us confidence that we will prevail over the dragon spirit that is trying to hinder God’s plan for the nation. Unity is a must if we are to enter our God mandated destiny!” Kuya Dan added.

Inter-City Prayer Gathering Held at CLSF

The main sanctuary of the Christ, the Living Stone Fellowship (CLSF) became the venue again of an event that impacts the nation’s destiny: the monthly Inter-City Prayer Gathering (ICPG) of the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP). Held every last Friday of the month, more than 350 intercessors from the 17 cities of Metro Manila gathered together last Friday, April 30 from 7PM to 10PM. Pasig City Intercessors, being the host city of the ICPG for the month of March led in the praise and worship time with Pastor Tony San Agustin, IFP-Pasig City Coordinator did the emceeing. Bishop “Kuya” Dan Balais, the CLSF Senior Pastor and concurrently the IFP National Chairman, challenged the intercessors as he spoke on “Contending for the Nation’s Destiny”. Ate Tanette Balais led in the prayer for Israel while Pastor Ed de Guzman led in praying for the Family and government pillar. Ate Nona Londonio, a CLSF National Elder and the IFP Executive Director gave the updates on the forthcoming 23rd National Prayer Gathering to be held on April 10-13, 2012 from 1pm to 9pm at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The CLSF, being a fore-runner church of the nation’s prayer movement, has become a hub of prayer events and prophetic gatherings in the Metropolis. The CLSF’s Goshen Building, being the host of IFP’s National Office, is a convenient place and location for convergence of pastors and intercessors as the prayer activities begins to gain momentum since the launching of the 21-Day Prayer and Fasting more than two weeks ago. Amazingly, by God’s abounding mercies, the churches are now responding to the call of prayers all over the nation through church prayer meetings, dawn prayers, all night prayer watches and the nationwide 24 Hour Houses of Prayers (HHP) launched by IFP more than two years ago.

With mighty prophets coming to our land in the likes of Bro. Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj, Bro. Vincent Selvakumar, Pastor Neville Johnson and most recent, ro. Robert Misst, the Body of Christ in the Philippines has been adequately given strategic prophetic directives that strategically guide them in their prayers, supplications and intercessions to bring our beloved nation to the path of hear destiny for the years to come. Kuya Dan said in his exhortation that though there are many breakthroughs that we are experiencing since our Jubilee declaration of 2010, we have to continue to intensify our prayers and contend for our destiny with most ardent and fervent zeal! “The devil is all out in his effort to delay and derail the fulfillment of God’s prophetic destiny for our nation and people; we must,” Kuya Dan said, “fight for it through our fervent prayers, prophetic declarations, gospel proclamation and widespread teaching of God’s word in all sectors or pillars of our society.”

This year 2012, through the intensified efforts of IPF and her partner ministries like NFS of Bro. Wyden King and the various ministerial fellowships all over the land, great inroads and momentum were gained with churches across denominational lines joining the rising tide of prayers and intercessions throughout the width and length of the nation, in every region, province, town and city. Filipino churches in the Middle East, Asia, USA, Canada and even Europe are reportedly also joining us in this efforts. Kuya Dan said that if we sustain this prayer momentum, our nation will not only be spared from terrible calamities of earthquakes and tsunamis but rather, take hold and possess destiny!

Kuya Dan enjoins all the KE Pastors, KE elders, Mission Pastor and their elders, ministry workers and the general membership of the church to attend the forthcoming 23rd National Prayer Gathering that will take place in just over a week- April 10-13, 2012 at the Cuneta Astrodome. Let us contend for our destiny!

Macau: A Spiritual Gateway to China

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.” Zechariah 4:6-7

It was a commitment that I have made with Ethnos Asia (EA), a kindred missions ministry based in Thailand, many months ago before the post 23rd NPG seminar called Worship, Warfare and Intercession (WWI) schedule at CCT Retreat Center in Tagaytay City was finalized. We were invited to minister to Filipino churches in Macau to impart to them the prophetic destiny of the Philippines and update them of the prophetic landscape of and God’s redemptive time table in the Philippines. I accepted the invitation for great prospect of mobilizing and networking the Filipino churches in the entertainment city of Macau for the End Time prayer agenda for the Philippines and the world.

Pressed by the super-tight schedule, Ate Tanette and I were praying for God’s redemptive purpose for this Macau, China assignment. The moment we took off from NAIA, the Lord assured me that this trip is more than what our host in Macau intended it to be. We arrived at the Macau airport via the Cebu Pacific flight 7:50 pm flight. Because of the usual delay of 1 ½ hours, we touched down past 11:30 PM. Pastor Gil Evidente, the Ethnos Asia (EA) coordinator in Macau and a pastor of the God With Us Church here, picked us up and warmly welcomed at the airport and brought us to the EA Mission House in the middle of the city. While in the taxi, Pastor Gil shared with us how the churches are excited to hear us and then related to us things that confirmed the Lord’s impression to us that this trip is still connected with the strategic prophetic gates that the Lord is opening up in the Philippines pursuant to our glorious prophetic destiny recently proclaimed as “Prince Nation to Asia in the Millennium”.

In the morning of April 20, while Ate Tanette and I were praying and interceding in our room in the EA Guest House, I had a powerful prophetic experience! I suddenly found myself standing at the border of Macau and Mainland China prophesying with all my might towards the mainland with a huge mountain directly in front of us. I suddenly saw two huge angels, about 200 feet tall standing behind me and Ate Tanette imitating the gestures of my hands as I lifted them up towards China. As I prophesy the word of the Lord, these two huge angels spoke the same words that I proclaimed amplifying them a million times in its force and intensity! The prophetic sound was so strong that it became like a mighty wind that blew upon the great mountain before us beating upon it with such unrelenting force that it disintegrated like a huge sand dune being blown away by a mighty sand storm. In a matter of a few seconds, the great mountain became a plain as the word of the Lord powerfully blasted it to the ground. The Lord showed me through this prophetic experience how powerful His voice is (Psalm 29) and how seemingly invincible earthly powers and obstacles can be obliterated by the voice of the Lord. I felt the Lord’s confidence that God is with us as we proclaim His word in Macau: The spiritual gateway to China!

The 23rd NPG: An Appointment with Destiny

“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God” Isaiah 40:3

The 23rd National Prayer Gathering (NPG) of the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) was another victorious event in the 23 years history of the prayer movement. Once again, the cavernous Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City was filled to capacity when some 10,000 people composed of pastors and intercessors from all over the country gathered together last April 10-13, 2012 to worship together, intercede and receive the Lord’s prophetic messages from teachers and prophets that came from different corners of the earth. The anointed speakers who ministered in the four- day gathering were Prophet Robert Misst from New Zealand, Prophetess Jill Shannon from Israel, Prophet Chuck Pierce from and Pastor Joe Sweet from the USA. The local ministers who spoke was our very own Bishop “Kuya” Dan Balais, the CLSF Senior Pastor and concurrently, the National Chairman of IFP; Bishop Bro. Eddie Villanueva, the spiritual director of Jesus Is Lord Church (JIL); Pastor Ed de Guzman, IFP Vice Chairman and Bro. Wyden King, Chairman and President of the NFS Ministries.

strategic event as prophets declared God’s fresh word for the nation and unveiled divinely inspired directives that the church must pursue. Bishop “Kuya” Dan opened up the 23rd NPG by addressing teh theme: “Prepare the Way of the Lord”- a theme taken from Isaiah 40: 3-5 in the light of the Last Days events that precede the Second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Kuya Dan clearly laid down the events of the Last Days in the context of the Philippine’s Jubilee season. Kuya Dan emphasized that the End Times is characterized by “almond branch” and “boiling pot” scenario- contrasting release of God’s mercy, revival and restoration and the bleak and terrible judgments of the nations. Kuya Dan emphatically reminded the pastors and intercessors not to lose sight of God’s almond branches even in the midst of the boiling pots. The Lord has unveiled to us the Jubilee season- God’s hand of mercy and restoration upon our land yet we as intercessors must be vigilant in guarding and watching over the nation because of the judgments on the nations of the earth that the Lord is pouring out throughout the whole earth.

Prophet Robert Misst declared that the Philippines is in a forked road: one road leads to destruction and despair while the other leads to destiny, restoration and blessing. The prophet from New Zealand released a powerful declaration from heaven- that the Philippines is a “Prince Nation to Asia”, the “Spiritual Israel” in this part of the world. This was a powerful and amazing destiny that all the more solidly confirmed what the prophets have been declaring for more than four decades concerning the Philippine’s glorious prophetic destiny! Prophet Misst then gave the people an introduction to the spiritual dimension of the “Divine Council”- of angels and saints in heaven who are commissioned to help the end- time church fulfill the Lord’s will and establish His Kingdom and rulership on the earth. Though a new and higher level of teaching, the people received the messages with open hearts and positive wonderment!

Prophetess Jill Shannon gave a good teaching series on the redemptive “Feasts of the Lord” commanded by God for Israel to observe as everlasting statute throughout their existence (Lev 23: 1-44). Prophetess Jill declared that these Feasts were dress rehearsals of the things that transpired in the past and also dress rehearsals of the things that will transpire in the future. They were all redemptive in nature, the types and symbols of God’s salvation that He has planned from eternity past to eternity future. It was meant to be observed not only for Israel but for the whole redeemed mankind- for every tribe tongue and nation who have entered a covenant with the Lord through the “Lamb of God”, the Lord Jesus Christ, who takes away the sins of the world.

Pastor Joe Sweet powerfully spoke on the power of Christ-like love and how it is key to the release of God’s Glory. The church is commanded by the Lord to walk in love as the Lord Jesus Christ walked in His divine love. Pastor Joe emphasized that by walking in love, we disarm the adversary and invite the presence and interventions of God in our earthly circumstance. After Pastor Joe’s message, the Lord moved powerfully as Kuya Dan was led by the Lord to let the bishops, pastors and people respond by an act of reconciliation towards one another and commit to walk in love to pave the way for the glory of the Lord to come upon the whole Body of Christ in the Philippines. The Holy Spirit poured out His love upon the whole gathering as everyone was bathed anew with a fresh baptism of love and forgiveness!

Dr. Chuck Pierce released tremendous prophecies for the Philippines, sharing to the thousands of people in the gathering how the Lord has given him a word for the Philippines way back in Kansas City, USA and how he has waited for the perfect time to release it. The 23rd NPG was the time for it to be proclaimed! Coming with a whole team of his personal intercessors, he declared that the Philippines is the Jerusalem of Asia and would be tremendously blessed to become one of the most prosperous nations on this earth in this Last Days! Dr. Chuck prophesied tremendous revival in the coming years. The prayer movement is shifting into “watchman anointing” that is given the power and authority to decree the will of God for the nation. In the next four years, there will be an awakening of God’s glory in the church. He then called for Kuya Dan and the whole IFP Board and NFS, her partner ministry to receive the watchman anointing by prophetically placing upon them the shawl that came from Israel to signify a new watchman mantle to the whole prayer movement. The worship dimension in the Philippines will overthrow strongholds in the nation that held it captive in the past many generations.

Pastor Ed de Guzman and Bro. Wyden capped the avalanche of prophetic messages by giving the people an update of where we are in God’s prophetic time table. Pastor Ed gave a powerful and encouraging update of what the Lord has done in our Jubilee decade. He warned the people however, that we cannot afford to relax because the enemy is taking every opportunity to accuse us before God so that judgments could be hanging over our heads anytime. The intercessions, supplications and prayers of God’s people will be able to form a wall of divine protection over the nation. Bro. Wyden gave the practical ways that we need to do in this season and re-emphasized the need that everybody commits to pray until the revival breaks out without measure! He laid down the mechanics of the 24-Hour Houses of Prayers (24HHP). The people responded enthusiastically and committed to heed the prophetic directives of the Lord.

23rd NPG: Prepare the Way of the Lord!

“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God” Isaiah 40:3

Last August 2011, the Lord spoke to Prophet Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj and his company of prophets about the coming of a new season and final dispensation in for the whole earth. The 2011 Rosh “Hashanah” (Feast of Trumpets and Jewish new year) to “Yom Kippur” (Day of Atonement) mark this new season and final dispensation: a ten-day period from Sept 28-Oct 8, 2011. This New Season and Final Dispensation that the prophets declared came at the heels of the unveiling and declaration of the year of Jubilee for the Philippines last March 16, 2010- our 490th year since the cross was planted on our shores on March 16, 1521. We have trumpeted these prophetic messages throughout the width and breath of the nation to the best of our God-given ability. Amazingly, churches and ministerial fellowships all over the land are responding in an unprecedented way embracing these breaking prophetic messages. A new momentum for prayer revival is gaining ground throughout the nation fuelled by increased prophetic awareness of the reality of the Last Days and the undeniable signs of the coming End of the Age! Churches are beginning to commit to establish 24 Hour Houses of Prayers (24HHP) in many cities and provinces all over the land!

It is in this context that the Board of IFP has been led by the Lord to the theme of this year’s 23rd National Prayer Gathering (NPG) which is: “Prepare the Way of the Lord” taken from the prophetic scripture in Isaiah 40:3. This is a marching order to the church to take heed to the call of the hour to seek the face of God, worship and serve Him more than ever before; Commit to pray and intercede for the nation in the light of critical cross-roads we are facing as a people; Rise up as a protective wall of intercession to shield our nation from terrible calamities and judgments that accompany the End of the Age; Prepare the Bride of Christ- the “Ezer” or Warrior Bride that the End time church is destined to become; Pray for the peace and redemption of all Israel and their recognition of the Messiah; Receive the mightiest outpouring of the Holy Spirit as prophesied in Joel 2: 28-29; the church to operate in power of the age to come; and lastly, Reap the Final and greatest Harvest of souls in this End Time generation from every tribe, tongue and people.

The prophet Isaiah declares:

“Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” (Isa 40:4-5).

Indeed, the Lord will completely turn the whole world upside down by the shaking of the nations (Haggai 2: 6-7; Heb 12: 26-29) Great darkness will indeed cover the whole earth. It is however, in this foreboding and dark stage that the Lord will unveil His awesome and greatest light and glory for all the world to see (Isaiah 60: 1-2)!!! It will be the most exciting and greatest climax of man’s redemptive history!!! LET US ARISE AND PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD!!!

The Fire and the Glory

“And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed” Exodus 3:2

Recently, the Lord has increased my spiritual sensitivity seeing more prophetic visions in my prayer times with the Lord. The impartation of the anointing of the prophets that recently visited us like Bro. Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj, Bro. Vincent Selvakumar, Pastor Neville Johnson and Bro. Robert Misst seems to rub on us as they prayed for us many times during the prophetic prayer gatherings that the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) hosted in the past three years. Indeed the anointing has to increase in these Last Days to equip the church for the greatest harvest of souls in all of human history. . As the whole world have entered the information age where anything under the sun can be researched through the internet flooding mankind with such an avalanche of knowledge, the Lord is also pouring out such spiritual knowledge and revelations that the church has not seen nor experienced for since it was born in glory. The prophet Habakkuk prophesied that “the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord shall fill the earth as the waters cover the sea (Hab 2:14)”.

The prophet Daniel foresaw our times some 2,600 years ago when he said that:

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (Dan 12:4)”.

Indeed, the Lord, in these Last Days, will release unto the church tremendous revelation knowledge concerning the world we are living in. The Church is being prepared to become the “ezer” Bride of Christ- the warrior bride! She will be endowed with such power and anointing that shall consume all carnality in her and make her the Bride she is destined to be! John foresaw our time when he wrote;

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” Rev 19:7-8

During our dawn prayer meeting, I saw a vision whole church on fire, but the church is not consumed. Amazingly, the Lord spoke to me that the fire in the church is a fire of cleansing and holiness. Just like the Burning Bush that Moses saw (Exo 3: 2), I saw that there were people in the church building but they were not consumed by the fire. Then the Lord impressed to me the scripture in Isaiah 6 when the prophet saw the heavens open and his eyes began to behold the glorious throne of God. Immediately he was convicted and cried out:

“Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.” As the prophet cried out desperately, and we read: “Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged” (Isa 6:6-7). Then the prophet heard a voice: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me” (Isa 6:8).

Times of Refreshing for CLSF K.E. Pastors

CLSF K.E. Pastors Retreat in Bay, Laguna

The Lord appoints times of refreshing for His beloved servants. This was the rare experience of the CLSF Metro- Manila “Kuriakos Explosion” (KE) pastors when Bishop “Kuya” Dan Balais, the CLSF Spiritual Director and Senior Pastor, together with the National Elders, brought them to the AGAPE Retreat Center in Bay, Laguna last March 19-21, 2012. The AGAPE Retreat Center is a beautiful retreat facility for pastors and ministry workers owned and operated by AGAPE Foundation whose aim is to provide a place where pastors can take a break to rest from their busy and tiring ministry work. It is a complete facility that can comfortably accommodate more than 50 people with nice air-conditioned rooms, a swimming pool, Jacuzzi pool, basketball court, billiards table, a huge session and meeting room and a nice landscaped garden. All the KE Pastors from CLSF’s 17 churches in the Metropolis enjoyed a rare time of rest, recreation and fellowship. The early mornings and evenings were spent on worshipping the Lord, prayers and waiting on Him. It was a precious two days and two nights of fellowshipping with the Lord and with one another.

The National Elders namely Kuya Dan and Ate Tanette Balais; Kuya Peter and Ate Lorna Reyes; Kuya Andrew and Ate Nenet Sombilla; Kuya Eric and Ate Mo and Kuya Arman Abad were able to join the retreat. Ate Nona and Kuya London did not make it because of the busy activities for the forthcoming 23rd National Prayer Gathering (NPG). Ate Nelids Kho, a CLSF National Elder based in Pangasinan likewise was not able to come. All of the KE Pastors were there namely Kuya Gani and Ate Ofel Tolosa of CLSF Pasig; Kuya Medel Diestro of CLSF Malabon; Kuya Albert and Ate Luz Carasig of CLSF Pasay; Kuya Ef and Tina Impresso of CLSF Mandaluyong; Ate Yolly Dizon of CLSF Las Piñas; Kuya Danny Apanay of CLSF Paranaque; and Kuya Abner Ponce of CLSF Juan Luna. Kuya Johnny and Ate Menchu Espeleta of CLSF Cainta Floodway were not able to come because of some health reasons.

The National Elders and KE Pastors were able to spend a precious time of fellowship with Kuya Dan and with one another. This is exactly in line with the direction of the church leadership to take care of the shepherds of God’s flock in accordance with the scripture in Isaiah 40:11 that says about the Lord-

“He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young”

This was the second half of the semi- annual KE Retreat. The first one was held at the Goshen Center in Mandaluyong. The first one was spent more on ministry operations review focusing on the task at hand pursuant to the vision and mission of CLSF. The second retreat was focused on the edifying and building up the pastors’ well-being. Being the start of summer, the retreat could not come to a better time than it was.

Kuya Dan and the National Elders had ample time to share a wealth of ministry experiences and personal counsel in an informal, casual way. From the dinner table (they were all in partial fast) to the enjoyable time in the swimming and Jacuzzi pool, the National Elders had excellent times of mentoring the KE pastors. They also had time to pray for one another’s burden, counseling with lots of encouragements.
The highlight of the prayer times was the Midnight Prayer Watch from 12 midnight to 3:00 am, when Kuya Dan and Ate Tanette brought the pastors to the new experience of waiting on the Lord and the ministry of the prophetic council. These ground-breaking spiritual experiences were imparted by the prophets who recently ministered in the Philippines through the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) namely Prophet Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj, Prophet Vincent Selvakumar, Pastor Neville Johnson and the most recent one, Prophet Robert Misst. The National Elders and the KE Pastors were indeed treated to a new experience of receiving prophetic messages through the divine council. The CLSF, being a Philadelphia Church (Rev 3: 7-10) and a prophetic church is being brought to a new level of spiritual experience and anointing so that we could victoriously meet the challenges of Last Days in this New Season and Final Dispensation.

It was indeed a unique time of refreshing for the spirit, soul and body of every National Elder and KE Pastor who came! Kuya Dan said that this would not necessarily the last time for this year. Kuya Dan looks forward to more of these times. This is part of shepherding and caring for the shepherds and overseers of the CLSF!

Pursuing Our Prophetic Destiny

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

All the End-Time prophets that recently came to our land proclaimed similar prophetic words that the Philippines is at the crossroad of our destiny. Prophets Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj, Vincent Selvakumar of India, together with Pastor Neville Johnson of Australia declared that the Philippines is at the verge of a mighty revival, renewal and rejuvenation that shall transform us into one of the most blessed and prosperous nations in this part of the world. These exciting proclamations powerfully confirmed our Jubilee season revealed to us by the Lord starting the year 2010.

All of them, however, also declared that this glorious prophetic destiny is conditional to the Church or the Body of Christ in the Philippines being able to take heed to the instructions of the Lord given through the prophets. The Lord’s requirement is for the greater Body of Christ to establish 24 Hour Houses of Prayers, build and unify the church, trumpet the prophetic word of the Lord to the churches and the whole nation, proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God to our people, destroy the spiritual strongholds in the nation, promote justice and righteousness in the land and walk in holiness and the fear of the Lord.

Prophet Robert Misst of New Zealand, the most recent prophet that came to our land, declared that the Philippines is at a forked road right now. One road leads to the abyss of destruction, degradation, delusion and despair while the other leads to her glorious destiny in God! We need to repent and confess the sins of our people every day. The prophet talked about floods and calamities that will bring untold damage if the national sins are not confessed and repented. Prophet Robert warned us that China, the bird of prey from the East, will take us into captivity if we don’t return to God as a nation and people. This danger is confirmed by hundreds of intercessors who saw visions of tsunamis and earthquakes that devastated our land. I, myself, was shown this terrible vision last week that prompted the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) to call for a 21-Day fasting and prayers beginning March 15 to April 4, 2012. It was a sound of alarm that IFP blew for the whole Body of Christ. Thankfully, hundreds of churches throughout Metro Manila and the whole Philippines took heed to the call and joined in the launch of the three week national fast. The spirit of grace and supplication is coming upon the whole Body of Christ in the nation!

Let us all pursue the prophetic instructions pursuant to our taking responsibility in charting our destiny! Let us be willing to make sacrifices so that we will be able to respond to the call of the hour! It is the most critical final hour in our nation’s history. There is no time to lose; no time to spare. The destiny of the nation is at stake; we have to pursue it with all our heart, soul and might!

A Mighty Prayer Force in the Land

The Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) and her partner churches and ministries, together with the CLSF prayer warriors successfully commenced the start of the 21-Day Fasting and prayers last Thursday evening, March 15, 2012 at the CLSF Main Sanctuary in Mandaluyong City. Some 350 pastors and intercessors from CLSF and other churches in Metro Manila gathered together to be part of the kick-off gathering signaling the start of this extremely crucial prayer event. Bishop “Kuya” Dan Balais, the CLSF Senior Pastor and concurrently, the National Chairman of IFP opened up the program by a message laying down the foundation of three week national fasting and prayers. Kuya Peter Reyes, a CLSF National Elder and concurrently the head of the Manila Pastoral Movement led followed afterwards leading the prayer for the sins of the church.

Bro. Wyden King, the head of NFS Ministries led the prayer of repentance and confession of the sins of the princes of the land namely the government and the business world. Intense prayers and supplications filled the whole CLSF main sanctuary. Bro. Wyden shared that because of greed for money, government officials and business people have compromised the truth which is the reason why the nation has fallen from the grace of God and have plunged to precipitous decline from her lofty perch in the 1960’s to where we are now. Though there are significant breakthroughs happening in our economy, it has to be sustained and its benefit cascade down to the majority of our people especially the poor and the needy. Bro. Wyden led the crowd in praying in the spirit and cries of repentance and supplications for the sins of the civil rulers and businessmen.

Kuya Andrew Sombilla, a CLSF National Elder, led in praying for the sins of the people. Following the Prayer Guide for the 21-Day fasting and prayers published by IFP, the multitude of sins, transgressions and iniquities of our people were repented of and confessed before the Lord. Again, intense prayers and supplications once again filled the whole sanctuary. The prayers and intercessions were interspersed by songs of worship and adoration to the Lord led by the CLSF Central Worship team. Kuya Arman Abad, a CLSF National Elder facilitated the program prepared by Ate Nona Londonio, the IFP National Director and likewise, a CLSF National Elder.

The kick-off gathering was capped by a short video showing of the revival and great outpouring of the Holy Spirit among the children in Siargao Island in Surigao Province in Mindanao. The people in attendance were so encouraged by what they saw- a spontaneous outpouring of the Holy Spirit among children, many of whom are unbelievers and have just come to the gathering because their classmates in the school just invited them. Bro. Wyden then testified that this was not an isolated case. In many places that the trainers of NFS Ministry went, the same outpouring was being experienced. The Lord seems to ignite revival fires in many parts of the country especially in places where many prayers have been sown by the churches in the area.

The prayer meeting ended around 10:00 in the evening with Pastor Domeng Rivera, a pastor of Jesus Is Lord Church (JIL) and concurrently, the National Coordinator of the Philippines for Jesus Movement (PJM) closing the gathering with a prayer of benediction and prophetic declarations. It was indeed a successful commencement of the 21-Day Fasting and Prayers. The people who sacrificed to come to the gathering were satisfied and blessed seeing and hearing how the hand of the Lord is moving mightily in the land. All those who attended have committed to fast and pray for the next 21 days. It was a gathering birthed through much prayers, tears and supplications: a gathering that will spell the destiny of the nation!

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” 2Ch 7:14

Contending for our Destiny

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” Matthew 16:18-19

The prophets that came to us in these recent years have proclaimed that the nation of the Philippines is in a critical crossroads, a forked road that leads to a contrasting end: one road leads to destruction; while the other road leads to our destiny! The prophets were all one in emphatically telling the Philippine Church: “Contend for your destiny!!!”

Prophets Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj, Vincent Selkvakumar, Neville Johnson and Robert Misst released similar and complementary prophetic words to the nation clearly spelling out the role of the church in enforcing the destiny of the nation. In the past three years of intense prophetic prayer gatherings, these anointed servants of the Lord showed to us two opposite scenarios: 1) A destroyed, ruined people ; 2) A righteous, prosperous and missionary sending Philippines! The prophetic directive is to contend; to fight for our destiny!!! The mission order is to bring the whole nation back to God (Matt 28:18-20)! The enemy that we are fighting against is Satan and all his demonic hosts (Eph 6:12)! The weapons that we have are not natural weapons but mighty weapons of God (II Cor 10:4-5; Eph 6: 13-17). The reward of victory is to see the nation set free from the evils and curses of idolatry, immorality, corruption, violence poverty and other forms of wickedness and lawlessness. The “Canaan Land blessing” is to see our land being spared from terrible calamities such as earthquakes and tsunamis, typhoons and floods, drought and other forms of judgments that characterize these Last Days. This is the time for the church to rise up and intercede on behalf of the land so that the judgment may be averted as we appeal to the mercy and kindness of God (II Chron 7: 14; Ezek 22:30).

The Lord is giving us time and reprieve to deal with the sins of the nation through intensified prayers and intercessions humbling ourselves with fasting and supplications. The Lord is giving us a window of time to proclaim the gospel of Christ with such importunity and resolve to bring our people into a saving knowledge and experience of God and His forgiving grace! It is only when people are set free from the power of Sin that they become instruments of righteousness to shine in these darkened world (Matt 5:14-16)! It is when they are rescued from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ that they become deliverers and saviours of their families, communities and nation (Col 1:13; Obadiah 1:21).

Finally, as we pursue this battle contending for all the promises of God that will lead us to take hold and enter our destiny, we must have the overcoming faith so that we will persevere with all our might in the face of all the resistance, obstacle and opposition that will come from the evil one (I John 5:4)! By faith, we shall overcome!
