“For I am yearning to see you, that I may impart and share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen and establish you; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me” Romans 1:11-12
ALL GLORY AND HONOR TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST! HOME SWEET HOME! MISSIONS ACCOMPLISHED! OUR ANNUAL APOSTOLIC VISIT TO OUR CLSF CHURCHES IN USA AND CANADA HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY AND POWERFULLY COMPLETED!
It has been a long six weeks (July 20-September 3) of rigorous travels across the oceans covering a significantly large area of the continent of America! From California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah in the USA to the Great Lakes Cities of Mississauga, Toronto and Windsor in Ontario, Canada: I, together with Ate Tanette and Ate Myrna, tirelessly traveled by land and by air to reach out and encourage the CLSF brethren scattered in the vast American continent! It was an awesome task, but the Lord enabled us to accomplish our mission through God’s abounding grace!
Our mission for this annual pastoral visit was to encourage, equip and strengthen and establish the CLSF brethren in the West particularly in the USA and Canada. It was a commitment that I made some seven years ago when the Lord instructed us to open churches in the Western Hemisphere (America, Canada and Europe). It was a step of faith, which we gladly and promptly obeyed. The Lord wanted us to reach out to and gather the CLSF brethren who have immigrated to the West to “enlarge our tent, lengthen our cords and strengthen our stakes” in accordance to the CLSF vision call of Isa 54: 1-3. It was not easy to go through again the birthing process of planting churches especially to a distant land in the opposite side of the globe and in a culture that is entirely different from ours, but as we prayed and put action in our faith, the vision became a reality. Today, we have CLSF churches in Oxnard California and Reno, Nevada in the USA and CLSF churches in Mississauga, Windsor in the province of Ontario and Calgary in the province of Alberta in Canada. This particular apostolic visit also opened up great possibilities to establish more CLSF churches and congregations in more places in the USA and Canada as we began to pray about it and had initial talks with the concerned brethren there.
As I have reported week by week while we were away, the seventh year existence of our churches in the West had been a season of laying foundations by allowing the young CLSF churches to be rooted and grounded in the word and be built up and established in their faith in Christ (Col 2:6-7). It was a season of raising up capable leaders who would take the responsibility of nurturing the believers. It was a season of solidifying the CLSF vision in the hearts of the brethren there and establishing the biblical “kingdom culture” (Matt 6:33; Rom 14:17; Luke 17: 20-21) to counter act the materialistic culture of the West so that the true and pure gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ will be powerfully preached in those places! On behalf of the team, I would like to thank you all for praying for us throughout the duration of our apostolic visit to USA and Canada! May the Lord reward you with His goodness!
